What is it?
At DHI Reading Room we have a passion for reading and writing. Reading is an important life skill and is essential to help in the mental and emotional development of all individuals, young or old.
Our qualified teachers, skilled teaching assistants and volunteers will help your child to have a love for reading and writing.
We aim to also provide you, the parents/carers with ways to support your child at home. We will share tips, advice and activities and you will have access to high quality resources.
What do we provide?
- A ‘Young Writers Club’ which is aimed at 7-12 year olds to help develop pre-writing skills. This is a 6 week book writing workshop in collaboration with ‘Imagination explorers’
- 20 weeks catch up reading programmes
